Richard F. Fleck was professor of English at the University of Wyoming, 1965-1990, where he taught Native American literature among other subjects. He was editor of the "Thoreau Journal Quarterly", 1975-1977, and author of numerous books and articles on the American West, including "A Colorado River Reader" (2000).
